NEW DELHI - The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will do a door-to-door survey in the city to track the school dropouts here.

About 14,000 municipal teachers will be deployed by the civic agency and the survey will be conducted in 181 municipal wards Saturday and Sunday.

“In the survey, the teachers will find out whether there is any child between the age group of 6 and 14 years who is not going to any school and the reasons for it,” MCD education committee chairman Mahendra Nagpal told IANS.

He said the education and economic condition of the family will be noted. The survey includes physically and mentally challenged children too.

The MCD conducted a similar door-to-door survey under its ‘Education for All’ campaign in March.
