Rs.3 crore donated for pharmacy college

GANDHINAGAR - The first Indian Chartered Accountant who practiced in Kenya, Manubhai Himabhai Patel, will donate Rs.3 crore to set up a Degree Pharmacy College in Gujarat.

Patel, 88, who lives in Ahmedabad, handed over the first cheque of Rs.1.5 crore to C.L. Patel, chairman of the Charutar Vidya Mandal, in the presence of his three sons, a Mandal spokesman said Tuesday.

The Mandal runs 45 educational institutions and has more than 35,000 students.
