Two Gujarat delegations in US for investment and partnership

GANDHINAGAR - Two high-profile delegations comprising senior government officials and business leaders from Gujarat are touring the United States to showcase opportunities for investment and discuss cross-border partnerships ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat summit in January 2011.
The delegations will meet trade organisations, educational institutions, Indian communities and top companies from various sectors like clean and alternative energy, green technologies, chemical and petrochemical, port and shipbuilding where US has a strong foothold, an official spokesperson said here Tuesday.
Apart from exploring investment opportunities in various sectors, the delegations will seek to forge partnerships in the knowledge sector and discuss collaboration and student exchange programmes with top institutions in the US.
