Winner of Fields Medal 2010 is Eilon Lindenstrauss

JERUSALEM (GaeaTimes.com) — The owner of the eminent Fields Medal 2010 is Prof. Eilon Lindenstrauss. This medal is given after every four year to honor young scholars, who excel in Mathematics by the International Congress of the International Mathematical Union.
Lindenstrauss is from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and physics followed by a master’s and Ph.D in Mathematics from Hebrew University. He is a dynamic person in the field of Mathematics.
The Fields Medal is given to those talents who are under the age of 40. It attaches a financial reward with it , which amounts to $15000. It is often regarded as “Nobel Prize of Mathematics”. Fields Medal is awarded to inspire budding mathematicians. It is considered to be a very esteemed and prestigious award. But due to its age limit many eminent mathematicians have been deprived of this honor.
