New York (GaeaTimes.com) - Trident Technical College was formed in 1973 from the merger of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Technical Education Center and Palmer College. The president of the college is Dr. Mary Thornley. It is also known as TTC. It is a two-year multi-course based college. It is situated in Charleston, South Carolina, in United States. It is the part of South Carolina Technical College System.

Approximately 12,000 students working their way toward college transfer associate degrees and technical associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in each semester. There are many courses offered by TTC. Courses are taught by licensed professionals with practical experience. The courses of TTC are: “Aeronautical Studies”, “Allied Health Science”, “Business Technology”, “Community Family and Child Studies”, “Film Media and Visual Arts”, “Hospitality Tourism and Culinary Arts”, “Humanities and Social Science”, “Industrial and Engineering Technology”, “Law-Related Studies”, “Nursing and Science” and “Mathematics”. Some new courses are also offered by TTC recently. “Hair Trends and Advanced Waxing,” a new cosmetology course offered at Trident Technical College. This new course recently won the Outstanding Cooperative Continuing Education Program Award from the South Carolina Association of Higher Continuing Education. TTC worked with Greenville Technical College, Horry-Georgetown Technical College and Midlands Technical College to develop market and implement the six-hour course for cosmetologists, which is approved by the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology. TTC offers of week-long courses recently. It offers summer class like culinary -the class is one of more than 100 week-long courses being offered this summer through Trident’s Kids’ College.

TTC has three more campuses. They are Palmer Campus, Berkeley Campus and St. Paul’s Parish Site. The campus growth of TTC is increasing day by day. Visitors can tour the facilities, meet instructors and staff members, learn about continuing education programs and register for courses.
