Abu Dhabi, July 4 (IANS/WAM) The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) will give six plots of land to build private schools.

The schools will be built in Khalifa city and Mohamed bin Zayed city. The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to meet the growing demand for private schools.

Three plots of land will be allocated to run the ADEC curriculum, two plots to run English and American education curriculums, and one plot for an English-language Philippine curriculum.

“ADEC’s research in the private school sector has shown that the demand for (plots to build) schools is expected to grow by five percent annually over the next few years,” ADEC director general Mugheer Khamis Al-Khaili said Saturday.
