Third Ohio sorority in trouble over wild partying
DAYTON, Ohio — A third Ohio sorority is in trouble after a banquet hall party in which students were accused of vandalism, urinating and vomiting on carpet, and stealing alcohol.
The University of Dayton’s Alpha Phi chapter faces a May 27 disciplinary hearing for the rowdy gathering held in March at the Top of the Market banquet hall in Dayton. Authorities say a men’s bathroom sink was ripped off the wall and mustard and ketchup was sprayed around the facility.
The university says it paid the building owner $2,300 for repairs and will get restitution from students.
Fellow southwest Ohio school Miami University announced suspensions this week of two sorority chapters for destructive and crude behavior.
