With English becoming mandatory for grabbing a job in the era of multi-national companies, learning Queen’s Language has now become a fad among the students in Bihar.
In the present era of corporate world, multinational companies are opening branch offices across India.
These companies have made it mandatory for candidates to have the knowledge of English to get job in their offices, setting off a sort of competition among unemployed youths to join English coaching courses so as to know English somehow or the other.
“Learning English has now become necessity for students. They get to know about its importance when they go out for job”, said a local BSc student Kaynat.
Another college student Jyoti said, “English has gone much in demand in both private and government jobs and hence making career without this foreign language is certainly no longer easy now”.
The principal of Arvind Mahila College, Patna, Dr Asha Singh said no one could ignore English today although Hindi is our mother tongue.
Both the students and the teachers say the job markets are now centered around candidates who have fair knowledge of English and thus, no one can survive without this language.
