NEW YORK CITY (GaeaTimes.com)- It is almost the end of February but the winter weather is still affecting the everyday life of people. Few weeks back, a winter storm had created havoc in different parts of the country, leading to multiple closings and delays of schools. Though the condition had improved in the last few days, it appears that the winter weather has once again returned to the northeast region of the country. According to the latest reports of the winter weather, New York City has received record amount of snowfall, this week, which had led to public school closing in the region.

The reports of the adverse winter weather indicates that the officials of the Education department of New York City has issued a statement on early morning of Friday, in which they declared about the public school closings for the day. It has been reported that the public schools in Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan would remain closed for the adverse weather conditions. Therefore, it is suggested that people should check the school closings for the day before they send their children to school.

As the snowfall has blocked several roads in different places, the officials of the Education department had to declare public school closings in New York City. It has been reported that the PSAL activities as well as any after school activities that were earlier planned for this Friday has also been called-off for the cold weather. Though the students would not have to attend schools for the weather, it has been reported that the administrative offices would remain open.
