JAMMU - After deporting three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to Punjab, the Omar Abdullah government Tuesday announced closure of all educational institutions in Jammu as a precaution to prevent trouble in the city and other parts of the region.

JAMMU - The Jammu and Kashmir government Thursday announced the closure of all high and higher secondary schools in the Kashmir Valley, reversing its own decision of keeping these educational institutions open during winters.

JAMMU - Jammu and Kashmir has seen a steady decline in the dropout rate in schools and the government is making the maximum efforts to expand quality education in the state, a minister has said.
