Kurukshetra varsity issues notices to eight colleges

CHANDIGARH - Haryana’s Kurukshetra University Wednesday slapped notices on eight affiliated self-financed colleges for their inadequate infrastructure, an official said.
Vice chancellor D.D.S. Sandhu said these colleges were issued temporary affiliations, but the university’s inspection team found deficiencies in the faculty and student facilities in these colleges, which offered B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. courses, besides others.
Around 40 colleges, however, were cleared by the inspection team of the Kurukshetra University, some 110 km from here.
The colleges that were issued show cause notices: Atma Jain Institute of Management and Technology (Ambala), Shripati Technical Institute (Fatehabad), Chaudhary Devi Lal Institute of Management Studies (Jagadhari), SD Institute of Management and Technology (Jagadhari), Institute of Management and Technology (Chhachhrauli), Amrit Institute of Technology (Yamunanagar), Pran Nath Pranami Institute of Management and Technology (Hisar), and Universal Technical Institute (Hisar).
