NEW DELHI - Findings from a nationwide survey on the reading habits of the youth will be unveiled Thursday on the occasion of National Education Day, a statement issued Wednesday said.

The National Youth Readership Survey was launched in 2009. The findings will be unveiled on National Education Day, celebrated in memory of the country’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

“The results will be released by union human resource minister Kapil Sibal,” the statement issued by the National Book Trust (NBT) said.

Undertaken by the National Council of Applied Economic Research on behalf of NBT, the project surveyed more than 6 lakh persons across the country in the age group of 15-25.
