DETROIT (GaeaTimes.com) — The well known John Hopkins University has partnered with 2 Schools from Detroit. The 2 Schools Bow and Emerson elementary, have started a program called “Diploma Now”. It aims to nurture children going to school and college. Three other agencies have also been a part of this Partnership carried out by the Detroit schools.
John Hopkins University has shown a consistent growth rate over the past few years and recently it has also increased its academic excellence. Hopkins has also reduced the truancy and negative behavior in various urban school districts.
The Diplomas Now program plans to predict the students who will or will not be graduating high school without any intervention. The program includes in-class tutoring, mentoring and after-school programming. Do you think this kind of a program would really be helpful to the students?
