CAT 2010 Notification Issued

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Its that time of the year again that students start queuing up for one of the most important examinations of their lives. On August 22, the notification has been released that provides the interested students with all the necessary details regarding the CAT examination. The CAT Notification contains several details like the date of the examination, the details of the form and other important details. This year the CAT will be conducted within the 20 day window between October 27 to November 24, 2010. The opening date for the application is August 30 and the last date for the application is September 30.

Every year hundreds of thousands of MBA aspirants appear for the CAT examination. Several institutions offer coaching for the examinations for over a year and many of the candidates take time off from their regular studies to prepare for the examinations. The examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management colleges which is the most prestigious B-School in India. Last year, the online format of the CAT examination was introduced and number of technical glitches saw thousands of students all over facing difficulties. According to the CAT Notification this year, the examination will again be conducted in the online format.

According to the CAT Notification 2010, the cash voucher will be available for the candidates at select branches of Axis Bank till September 30 and Candidates must go through the detailed CAT Notification before applying. After the completion of the forms and the payments the admit cards can be downloaded from the official website of IIM-CAT. Students will not be allowed to sit for the online examination without the Hall Ticket.
