Staff Selection Commission Recruitment 2010

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Government of India has announced the recruitment of various staff through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The recruitment offers great opportunities for all those who are interested in government jobs. The recent announcement has called for all candidates who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination and are within the age of 27. The lower age limit is 18 and candidates will have to appear for a written examination, the date of which has been tentatively fixed on October 31 this year.
After selection, the candidates will have to appear for the skill test. The official website of Staff Selection Commission contains the details and the instructions for the applications. Candidates are advised to go through the employment newspaper for the instructions regarding the filling of the online application form. The application fee is Rs.100 and it should be paid through the Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only. The application fee is, however, exempted for all women candidates and the ones belonging to the other categories such as ST/SC or Physically Handicapped.
The recruitment by the Staff Selection Commission is for Data Entry Operators and Lower Division Clerks. In the skill tests the candidates applying for the position of data entry operators, after clearing the written round, will have to give a test on their computer skills. For all those who are applying for the position of lower division clerks, the skill test will consist of a typing test. Each candidate is allowed to apply for a single post. The total marks for the written test is 200 and the total time is 2 hours.
