NEW DELHI - With the flagging off of a special bus, a national campaign titled ‘Bus Aur Nahin’ against ragging was launched in Delhi University (DU) Wednesday.

The bus will travel to nine cities in the country covering over 40 colleges to create awareness against ragging.

“The special, colourful bus will travel from Delhi to Chennai covering eight major cities. The bus will have volunteers from the chosen states along with drawings, paintings and posters pertaining to anti-ragging,” said Thomas George Muthoot, director of Muthoot Pappachan Group, which is organising the campaign jointly with the university.

“The motive of the campaign is to provide a platform to the students to speak against ragging and take a pledge that they will never get involved in the menace,” he added.

Furthermore, students from various universities will be signing a petition, pledging themselves against ragging.
