‘B.Com (Pass) most sought after course in Delhi University’

NEW DELHI - Bachelor of Commerce (Pass) is the most sought after course in Delhi University while Ramjas College is the most favoured by aspirants this year, varsity’s students’ welfare dean S.K. Vij said Friday.
“The other popular courses are B.A. (Pass) and B.Com (Honours), followed by Economic Honours. Popular science courses are Physics Honours, Chemistry Honours and Electronics Honours,” he said in a statement.
Following Ramjas are Hansraj and Kirorimal colleges.
Among women’s colleges, the most preferred are Daulat Ram, Gargi, Miranda House and Maitreyi College, Vij said.
The varsity this year has sold 186,672 forms for undergraduate courses. The total number of seats offered by the varsity is 54,000 - a good 5,000 more than last year.
The first cut-off list for various courses in the colleges will be announced June 22. The academic session will begin in July.
