CET Karnataka Results

BENGALURU, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- CET exam results in Karnataka will be released on May 22 at 1pm. The entrance exam was conducted in April 28-30 and determines admission to the Engineering, Medical, Dental and Architect undergraduate courses across colleges in Karnataka. The eligibility for appearing in the CET is Physics, Chemistry , Biology and Maths at the Higher Secondary level, with Biology and Maths depending on the type of course chosen. Students all across India who appeared for the exam will scramble for the results on May 22. To make the process hassle-free, SMS and internet services have been provided for the results. The results will also be hung at the examination centers of the state.

The CET in Karnataka is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) which reportedly has already compiled the rank list. For the medical and dental courses candidates should have biology along with physics and chemistry among the main subjects in their XII standard. The engineering and architect colleges only look for physics, chemistry and maths as main subjects in the XII standard. The minimum marks that needs to be scored at the XII level to be eligible for the CET is between 45% to 50% for general category(depending on the course) and 40% for SC/ST/OBC category.

This year the turnout was lesser compared to last year with over one lac students appearing for the CET Karnataka. The counseling process is due to begin on June 6. The students will be allotted their course and college according to their marks in the entrance exam. Counseling is done across various centers in Karnataka in Bangalore, Hubli, Belgaum, Shimoga, Davangere and Mangalore.
