Ghaziabad girl tops CBSE Class 12 exams in NCR

GHAZIABAD - Radhika Gambhir from Ghaziabad topped the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 exams in the National Capital Region (NCR), securing 97.4 percent marks in the science stream.

The results were announced Friday.

Gambhir, daughter of timber merchant Pawan Gambhir and Poonam Gambhir, secured 100 marks in biology, 100 in physical education, 97 in English, 95 in physics and 95 in chemistry.

A student of Uttam School for Girls at Ghaziabad, Radhika is aspiring to become a doctor.

Her father told IANS: “I am proud of my daughter. Radhika has put us and her school’s name on the top.”

Sneha Agrawal (commerce), Divanshu Agrawal (science) and Shruti Lakhtakia (humanities) topped the exams in Delhi with 97.2 percent.

Two Ghaziabad girls — Aayushi Singhal and Kamelia Majumdar — from Holy Child School topped the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exam and Indian School Certificate (ISC) exam for Classes 10 and 12 respectively, results for which were declared Wednesday.

Singhal secured 96.8 percent marks while Majumdar secured 98 percent marks.
