DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is shaping things up in a better way so that students studying at the University faces no hassle or hindrance in obtaining their results fast. IGNOU has three million students studying all across the country and thus the institution dotes on the idea of delivering the students their results in a way that is convenient as well as fast paced. Living up to the very idea IGNOU had gone ahead in creating six different zones so that they can decentralize the checking of answer sheets which they think would fit their frame right.
The decentralized IGNOU centers are Lucknow, Pune, Chennai, Guwahati and Patna. This has been the very first attempt of decentralizing since 1985 . The so called decentralized centers shall now be working independently in evaluating and monitoring the answer sheets from the students of the respective centers.
IGNOU Chennai center shall now have all rights over examination centers of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Similarly IGNOU Patna shall enjoy all regulatory rights over the study centers scattered all over Orissa, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Jharkhand. IGNOU Uttar Pradesh however has been divided into two regional centers. The first one shall have Varanasi along with Aligarh under its belt whereas the second one shall have IGNOU Lucknow regional center to operate. IGNOU Pune will have regulatory controls over exam centers of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat,Mumbai, Goa and Rajasthan. Guwahati prominently shall enjoy all rights to control the examination centers of Tripura, Sikkim , Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh , Meghalaya, Mizoram and Manipur respectively.
