GATE 2010 Results Declared

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- After a long wait the GATE 2010 results were finally announced at the IIT Bombay GATE page at 10 AM. It is also being urged to the students as to go ahead and check their results as fast as they can owing to the fact that the servers might might stop responding due to the heavy traffic from all across the country. Students shall now be able to check their results in the official website of GATE. All they need to do is to key in their registration number of the exam and they shall be able to bring up their results on the screen.
The GATE website has also mentioned the scoring method for GATE 2010 results which uses the formula GATE SCORE= 10[ag + sg {(m - a)/s}]. Here,”m” stands for marks obtained by the candidate a defines the average marks of all candidates and “s” makes up the standard deviation of marks from all with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.On the other hand, “ag” defines the average or global marks of all candidates who appeared across all papers and years 2007-2010, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero. Again, “sg” is the standard deviation (global) of marks of all candidates who appeared across all papers and years 2007-2010, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.
By default GATE 2010 results score is set to zero when the value is zero in accordance to the formula and 1000 when the score for GATE 2010 results score is set to 1000 when the value that is obtained by the general formula is more than 1000.
