CAT Result 2010 Declared

NEW DELHI, INDIA, (GaeaTimes.com)- The day marks the end of wait for thousands of students all around India who sat for the CAT 2010 (Common Admission Test) last December. The apex body CAT IIM has declared the result which is made available to the students on its own website.

The CAT Result date was deferred earlier due to some technical faults. This week graduates were expecting the result to be published and this comes as a good news for them. CAT is considered as one of the toughest exams in India and the leading one in the field of management entrance exams. This year CAT introduced the online exam format which created confusion amongst the candidates. There were many aspirants who had to go back home on their scheduled exam date due to the organizing committee’s failure reportedly. Many students this year have reportedly suffered due to this exam pattern change.

However, this year too around 2.11 lac students have sat for the exam. The CAT result is accepted all over India and one can apply at institutes all over India with the CAT score. The highly esteemed management institutes in India, the IIMs (Indian Institute Of Management), admit students on the basis of their CAT scores along with their own Group discussion and personal Interview. According to reports IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Shillong have already published the shortlisted names of the candidates who can get admitted to their institutes. Results can be checked by entering the registration number and the e-mail ID as provided to the authority at the time of registration.
