CAT Results 2010: Aspirants In Dilemma

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- CAT Results, the stepping stone to the IIM’s is still keeping the candidates under sheer dilemma. The results are being awaited by all CAT aspirants who have appeared for the online exam 2009 thus conducted by the IIMs and Prometric USA. It was the very first time that IIM finally agreed to grant admission through online entrance examination for all IIM aspirants. However, the CAT results and its announcement has always been in a state of confusion with no valid dates mentioned, with a feeble mention of a date in Feb 2010.

Infact the dates were being delayed and has been postponed many a times prior to this. However, the IIM website states the results shall come out in the third week of February 2010, which is the current week itself. The road to IIM has always been considered to be one of the toughest exams to crack in the country.

The 33-year old system of conducting exam on papers was replaced with the idea on conducting the exam online from November 27 to December 7 last year. Numerous candidates had to witness long hang up issues with the IIM servers not capable enough to handle the huge rush of students logging in for the exam. The IIM was forced to re- schedule a retest on January 30th and 31st for which about 11,000 candidates sat through.

All CAT 2009-2010 candidates are supposed to take a print-out of their marksheet once the results are declared. All the successful ones shall have to attend interviews for Personal Rounds and Group Interviews. They will be notified by individual interview letters for the same.
