Sufi university to be set up in Pakistan

KARACHI - A committee has been formed to set up the proposed Sufi university, a Pakistani official said.

The Sindh government Tuesday constituted the panel to suggest the line of action for the university to spread the message of poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, the News International reported Wednesday.

The Sindh government has been asked to earmark around 100 acres near the Sindh University for the proposed intitution.

Initially it would be set up as a Sufi institute which should gradually be given the status of an university.
