ACT Test To Conduct Poster Making Competition

IOWA CITY, (GaeaTimes.com)- All the aspiring students, who want to appear for the ACT Test for the year 2011-2012, will be thrilled now. The ACT Test Authorities have announced a poster making competition, where the winner, the first runner up and the second runner will get a scholarship, to continue with their college education.

The ACT Test will be conducting this competition for those who will appear for the test in the next year. The authorities have said that all the entries and the posters should be post marked between October 18, 2010, and January 31, 2011, and its results will be announced on February 28, 2011. The interested candidates may download the official entry form from www.actstudent.org/postercontest, take its print out, and fill it up and complete the other official rules. If he is below eighteen, then it need the guardian’s approval too. The form has to be enclosed with electronic art on CD-R or DVD-R or scannable art, and mail it to the head office before January 31.

The winner of this contest will get a scholarship money of $5,000, the first runner up will win $2,000 while the second runner up will get $1,000. The ACT Test Poster Concept Contest, aims to encourage the students to attend college after high school and take the ACT test as their college entrance exam. The judgment will be based on creativity, visual appeal and over all impact, where 25% of the marks will be based on the first two categories and 50%, on the last one. The scholarship would be non-renewable, and will be paid directly to the college, where the winner will get the admission. If the student does not take admission by October 1, 2012, then his scholarship money will be deemed.
